Sports Court Construction

A court is five packages of work. Understanding what sits in each one is what turns an intimidating lump-sum quote into something you can compare, question and control.

CourtHub is a platform. We help you scope a project and connect with construction companies, suppliers and specialists suited to it — we do not claim to perform every service listed below in-house.

Before anything is poured

Plan

Site Assessment

Establish whether your site can take the courts you want.

Levels, ground conditions, drainage, access for plant and materials, available clear height for covered builds, and power availability. This is the step that prevents expensive surprises later.

Court Design & Layout

Fit the right number of courts on the plot you actually have.

Court orientation, spacing, run-off, circulation, spectator areas and future expansion. Getting the layout right at this stage is what makes a facility work commercially.

Base, structure and surface

Build

Full Court Construction

End-to-end delivery from groundworks to first serve.

A single scope covering base, structure, surface, lighting and fit-out, delivered by a construction partner matched to the project's size and location.

Groundworks & Drainage

The part nobody sees and everything depends on.

Excavation, sub-base, falls and perimeter drainage. In a monsoon climate this is the difference between a court that lasts a decade and one that fails in three years.

Court Flooring & Base

Concrete, asphalt and porous base systems.

The structural base beneath the playing surface, specified for the sport, the surface system above it and the local climate.

Court Surfacing

Turf, acrylic, timber and modular systems.

Supply and installation of the playing surface itself, including infill, seaming and line marking to the governing body's dimensions.

What makes it a facility

Systems

Steel Structure & Glass

Engineered enclosures for padel and glass-back squash.

Galvanised steel frames engineered for local wind loading, tempered glass panels and certified fixings. Specification and certification matter more here than anywhere else in the build.

Fencing & Netting

Perimeter containment and ball-stop systems.

Chain link, welded mesh and ball-stop netting, with gates and access control sized for the facility.

Lighting & Electrical

The system that decides how many hours a court can earn.

LED floodlighting layouts designed for uniformity and glare control, plus distribution, controls and metering. Evening play is where most club revenue comes from.

Nets, Posts & Court Equipment

Regulation nets, posts and fixed court equipment.

Supply and installation of nets, posts, centre straps, umpire equipment and sport-specific fixed items.

Court Accessories

Benches, signage, storage and player amenity.

The fit-out items that turn a court into a facility people want to come back to.

Keeping it playable

Aftercare

Maintenance & Refurbishment

Keep a court playable, or bring an old one back.

Brushing and infill top-up for turf, cleaning and recoating for acrylic, glass and structure inspection, and full resurfacing where the base is still sound.
